Junior Associate Attorney Needed

If you are an Attorney with 1-3 years’ Family Law or Civil Litigation experience ready to join a rapidly growing firm with a positive team culture and opportunities for personal, professional and financial growth, then we’d love to hear from you! Our Family Law firm is currently accepting applications for a Junior Associate Attorney (“Associate Attorney”). We are ready to hire as soon as we find the right candidate.

What you should know about us before you apply. We are not your typical small law firm! Our founding and managing attorneys are entrepreneurs who are passionate about helping their clients keep what matters to them most – their children and their money. We have our sights set on being the “go-to law firm for divorce” in Riverside County, so you need to be ready to hit the ground running to serve our clients with outstanding representation.

This will probably be the most honest and most detailed job posting you will ever read. That’s because we want to be very up-front about our expectations about the job and our ideal candidate. If you are up for a job that is as rewarding and focused on the practice of law, please continue reading the rest of this ad. If you are up to the challenge, we look forward to seeing your resume’ and cover letter.

If the following describes you, then YOU may be a great fit for our team:

We need people who are not afraid of computers, technology, or learning new things that will make their jobs easier. If you aren’t confident in your tech skills and ability to learn, you are not the right person for this job. You MUST be competent and proficient in the use of Word and Outlook. You MUST be able to navigate the web like Magellan. You must be able to handle working with several different databases of information. If you are familiar with legal case management software and CRM programs, that is a plus.

If you lose stuff, are not organized, or get easily distracted, please don’t apply.

We are fully invested in policies and procedures and systems. We appreciate and nurture creativity and innovation, and we expect you to follow the rules. We also expect your input in creating and improving our systems to best serve our clients. If you don’t think that’s possible, please don’t apply.

If, while you have been reading this, you were distracted by the buzz of your cellphone or had to check a Facebook alert, this might not be the job for you.

If you think showing up for work 10 minutes late is no big deal, or if you need to take more than 2 coffee, smoke, or cell phone breaks during the workday, this job is not for you. If you want to spend time Monday through Friday surfing the internet, Facebooking, or chatting on the phone and still expect to be paid, this is not the job for you. Our expectation is for you to only work during open business hours Monday through Friday. We don’t expect you to take late night phone calls or work on the weekend.

You must be an optimistic, positive person. Our office does not do well with toxic people or drama queens, gossipers, or victims. You will not fit in here if you even think that you may fit into one of those categories of negative people.
